what is the secrete to increase member in the website

Hi all,

My website is very new designstub.com. The idea was to create an online platform to showcase the most alluring creative ideas.Where you can share your own designs, collaborate with others, look through the many designs that have been shared by users and download it!

I have launched a design contest there for the designers, can any one advice me what will be the best way to advertise this contest b'coz this is the 1st time where designer can win $100 from photoshop brushes,patterns and web templates PSD files

Any advice will be appreciated

It's not hard to figure out. What good is it to me to sign up? I can just download the stuff without registering, right? Offer members exclusive deals.

But right now, you don't really have the quantity or quality to have people coming back to your site, let alone signing up.

Feature your contest on the homepage. It's kind of tucked away in the navigation. Also tweet about it and update your Facebook page
 
oh come on Kevin, you forgot the most obvious way to improve your hit rate :)

Apple products and porn, add those, preferably together and you would have the number 1 ranking site on the planet :p
