Buy a caddy and get a hard drive of choice. That's what I normally do :)

    i don't know but i had a fit 44 minutes ago.

  6. The caddy/drive looked good, but to have a caddy with 2x FW800 ports and a separate 2.5" 1tb drive was going to cost £150+, therefore it was cheaper to buy a complete unit. And I don't really have the time these days to fanny about with a custom drive...

I ended up going for this Iomega one Iomega EGO BLACKBELT MAC EDITION 1 TB PORTABLE EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE - BLACK review cheap prices EGO BLACKBELT MAC EDITION 1 TB PORTABLE EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE - BLACK Iomega best buy discount online uk shop, and got it delivered for £113. Might be able to upgrade the drive at a later date if bigger 2.5" drives become available.

advantage of a caddy is once you've bought it you're sorted.

but congrats on your new drive.

It takes me about 5-10mins to sort out a hard drive into a caddy, most of that's the time it takes to do the screws and to format the drive lol

As long as you're happy that's all that counts :)
