What do people want from design?

When a client hires a design firm or freelancer, deep down what is it that they want.

They obviously want someone whom is adept at creating visuals and posses skills to do so better than themselves, otherwise they would do it themselves right?

They want someone who understands the design process when it comes to branding a company, someone that can guide them towards the right choices.

If you could list things from a clients prospective, what do you think your clients really want?

No not at all, i rarely get frustrated with clients.

Do you?

Surely getting frustrated with clients is part of the job? More to the point, its part of any job!

I think when a client employs a designer, they're looking for someone who doesn't provide what they asked for, rather than someone who can provide what they wanted.

I agree, so what happens when you provide what they need rather than wanted.

What does their sub conscience want?

Peace of mind.
"let someone else do it"
Someone to know it all?
