Have the macbook back and working! Leopard etc is all installed, now i'm in the process of installing all the programs I need.

What are the first programs you install when you have a fresh start? I'd like to see other peoples as to cut out the risk that i've missed anything. So far I have:

    Cyberduck
    Firefox
    Safari 4 Beta
    Cyberduck
    MSN Messenger
    The Unarchiver

CS3 and Office 08 will be installed tomorrow when I have more time and dig out the CD's.

    Cheers,
    Adam

I might try this Adium, it's always recommended instead of the actual MSN messenger, obviously it's highly rated/recommended by most people!

Nice thread! I've been trying to figure out the best applications to get for design on the MAC for general freelancing. I use my desktop PC for most all my work and am just migrating into using my macbook for on the run stuff because i'm on the road either at work or at school so much, I need my laptop to start doing some work.

    Good stuff :)

I honestly didnt get adium! I'm not a fan of msn, so I thought it might be better.

Turns out I dont think I like instant messaging programmes!
