Basic coding's not hard, but doing things the right way and following standards can take some time to learn. But if you're willing to put in the wrench time, it is a great experience to learn how websites work and to make your own. Google some tutorials on basic HTML and CSS to get you started if you are thinking of doing it yourself.
Also, you've not mentioned anything about designing your webpage. You'll want to get your design sorted before you even think about developing, and you'll want to get at least some of your content sorted before you think about designing!
