I've been working on a website CV, it's simple in style so that the artwork is in focus, with navigation via text links along the left hand side and/or within page information.

I wonder whether it would help to have a blog area within one of the pages - if this is possible - I'm working with dreamweaver/ftp.

Is the navigation clear enough?

I would have to agree that a picture is worth a thousand words as Levi Said. I would like to help you ann but I don't have something to look at so there is no way for me to tell if the navigation is clear enough.
 
Yeah stick a picture up Ann, even one of your cat or your kitchen will do to get the ball rolling!
