Viewing white (paper) objects in InDesign - transparency grid?

Discussion in 'General Software & Hardware Forum:' started by leepaulvickersdesign, Sep 18, 2012.

  1. I'm editing some white text on an InDesign master, and can't find a way to easily do it, as the master page background is also white. Illustrator has the 'transparency grid' which really helps.

Any ideas? (yes I could put a box behind the text, edit, then delete it, but that seems like a clunky workaround :) )

    Temporarily change the paper colour??

  3. There must be a setting to toggle the page colour for this very problem...? Ya, I could but it's a bit of a faff...

  6. Thanks Greg - the document grid kind of works, but I can't get the grid fine enough to show the white text boxes clearly. No matter, I'll submit to to the ID feature request site.
