The Golden Ratio

Hi all,

I was having a think about Grid-Based Design, and my thoughts went back to the Golden Ratio.

[A nice article from Mark Boulton here, more of those here.]

Anyway, the Golden Ratio is having side A X-units long, and having side B 1.618[X]-units long. This is said to create a rectangle pleasing to the eye.

Anyway, that's the heads up on the golden ratio, which I'm sure many of you already know about, especially if you design for print.

My question is, are there any other ratios that are particularly pleasing on the eye?

Angelina Jolie, dunno if she can be classed as a ratio though :)

Good post though mate for those that don't know about grids or that :icon_thumbup:
