Talented designer

We are a small, flexible, motivated and hard-working media-neutral integrated agency in Clerkenwell.

One of our most important clients is an international chain of 19 designer fashion outlets with centres in Italy, Austria, Germany, France, Belgium, Holland and nine in the UK.

We are in the process of rolling out all their brand advertising (press and outdoor) along with tactical in-store and external promotional campaigns.

We need a designer to become our brand champion, working closely with the creative directors, other creative teams and designers, our in-house artwork studio and the account handlers.

There is also a ‘local implementation agency’ for each of the markets in Europe, who usually produce the artwork of our concepts for their respective country, and any adapts that are required. The successful applicant will be expected to work closely with these agencies, and keep an overview of the work that’s being produced, referring to the creative directors if in doubt. Occasionally you will be required to help out producing artwork of your designs.

As well as developing the existing multi-media campaign, you will develop extensions of the core idea for specific opportunities and to refresh the overall look when appropriate.

We need an enthusiastic, talented and prolific designer to bring their skills and experience to bear to help us maintain the consistently high standard that we, and our client, expect.

You should never think that ‘good enough’ is really good enough, and be committed to making every single job as well conceived, thought through and produced as possible.

The candidate should be passionate about design, type and graphics, with around 5 years experience, be self-motivated and able to demonstrate initiative in responding to briefs, and take responsibility for their ideas being as original as they are relevant.

At all times they will be very much in the clients eye, so good interpersonal skills and a degree of diplomacy will be required.

The candidate will need to be organised and unflappable, and flexible enough to meet the rapidly changing needs of a dynamic and successful retail organisation. Opportunities will occur occasionally to work with other WARL clients, such as Diageo, P&G, Premier Foods, Clipper Teas and Warburtons.

This is a challenging new position that presents a great opportunity for the right applicant.

They will be expected to be extremely proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign. Occasionally they will have to produce press ready artwork of their, and possibly others, designs.

Salary will be in the region of £25-30k, depending on experience, plus the usual benefits.

If you are interested in this position, please reply on this forum with email address and I will contact you to tell you where to send your CV. No agencies please, unless you consent to work for no commission.
