I only just heard about this from a friend but there is a company called Doodlar who are using fashion to raise awareness and funding for non-profits. Every fortnight, they create tee shirt designs which reflect a certain cause and then sell them giving something like 25% to charity. They have their own in-house designers but I think in upcoming months they are going to launch a campaign with a celebrity as the face of it which would allow people to create their own designs for a certain charity-my sources (I happen to know the founder) says that its to be Barnado's. Oh and they also give 10% of all sales to the designer who wins so you not only get your work worn by several people in the name of charity but you also get some money too! Pretty cool gig right? Sign up with them here. Good luck!
