Google sketch up is really quick and easy for doing basic 3d models.

You can get it the size and shape you need with the right perspective in minutes.

We used sketch up when we were trying to figure out our office space. It is great and so simple. Easier to use on a PC oddly...

If your still having trouble, Try mydeco.com its a great site and you can incorporate shelving units cupboards everything into a room of your size and height, Its all online so no download is required but if you have pre set floor plans you can upload them into a drawing.
