Does anybody know any good sites where i can find some good scripts for scrolling php news bars?

or

advise me on how to create my own?

I would guess that you'd be looking at Javascript for this, I used one on this site: DVD BOX SETS, Find Cheap Boxsets, TV & Film Box Sets it pulls the price data from the database, and is based on this: jQuery liScroll - a jQuery News Ticker with some revisions.

Greg's on the money with the two links I would have pointed you in the direction of.

Alternatively if you want to be RETRO use the marquee tag - it's so uncool it's really cool. (awaiting mass riot...)

Haha, 'retro' is one word for it

Used to really like the one they had on the BBC News site, looks like it's changed to a fade in/fade out one now, previously was more of a ticker.
