RIP Maurice Sendak

    Where The Wild Things Are author Maurice Sendak died today aged 83. Sad sad news.

    Adam Yauch died four days ago and yet it was barely even mentioned in the UK media. Guess he's gone Intergalactic now :icon_smile: RIP MCA.

    Yes there wasn't much cover of this in the press. I guess the movie of the Wild Things brought him back into the lime light, adding to the coverage.

    The movie wasn't that great I didn't think. The book is on another level. And yeah, Adam Yauch died too. His death got next to no coverage. Thank god for Twitter or would never have known. RIP.

    No coverage? Really? Multiple articles appeared on the front pages of the BBC News and Guardian websites for at least two days (I think the Guardian are running another new piece on Adam Yauch today).

    I didn't see either, to be fair, fairly busy week. So I only knew because of Twitter.
