Hi All,

I'm a furniture designer who has been given the task of running graphics and marketing for my company. When i'm not 3d rendering and designing furniture- I use the full adobe suite and have come to terms with many of its basic functions.

-brochure design
-tender presentations
-general day to day media-business cards, letterheads etc

As I have not trained as a graphic designer or the learnt the stringent laws of type layout and representation, much of my layout work tends to begin by me cobbling together amalgamations of things I've seen and heard from other friends who are graphic designers etc

My main intention of using this forum is to find some good advice and critical thinking on layouts and use of type so that I am not becoming another one of those amateur graphic designers that make you all scream when you see my work.

I look forward to hearing from you all and would welcome any great go to online resources you may be able to point me towards.
