Hi,
As part of my project I need to have a few answers from a professional graphic designer! If anyone would be willing to take some time to answer these for me that would be great!
There's just a few..

How did you get into the design industry?
What is the best thing about your job?
What is the best career decision you've ever made?
How do you organise your time?
How or what do you base your decisions on and who has had the biggest influence on your work?
What quality or skills should a good designer have?
Have you ever recieved hard criticism and how do you deal with that feedback?
What are the major steps in your creative process?

Thank you in advance!

How did you get into the design industry?
Out of school, started working as a printer, then moved into the design side of things.

What is the best thing about your job?
Going home

What is the best career decision you've ever made?
To leave jobs where the bosses are terrible.

How do you organise your time?
By job priority. Typically, I spend some time sorting through small ticket items so that I have the rest of the day to work on big-ticket items.

How or what do you base your decisions on and who has had the biggest influence on your work?
What the client wants. The biggest influence, none.

What quality or skills should a good designer have?
Have the quality and/or skills to be a good designer. Knowledge of their area of design, e.g., print/web/UX, etc.

Have you ever received hard criticism and how do you deal with that feedback?
Yep. Didn't care. Moved onto the next job.

What are the major steps in your creative process?
Dillydally as much as possible then cram something out before the deadline. Seems to work for me.
