Printing on canvas

Trying to get my head around printing on canvas, I'm getting good results om my epson sc p8000 but i can't always get the picture to fit the frame on the computer i have to make the canvas size bigger. Im using the Epson print layout which isn't great for it.
Are there other programs, what do people use?
 
Sorry - I missed that part - not familiar with Epson at all - must their own program that came with that printer?
Not a professionals tool for sure.

Generally - I use professional software - InDesign, Illustrator or Photoshop.
Illustrator for creating logos, graphics, etc.
Photoshop for photographs
and Indesign for page layout text images logos etc. that are made in Photoshop and Illustrator.

Once design/layout is decided, then make a PDF and print from that.

Free alternatives of the software mentioned
GIMP
Inkscape
Scribus

Thanks Yes it was the one that came with the printer, Im new to this so everyday is a learning day and any tips are always appreciated. Thank you.
 
Removed link - you can use the image icon to attach any relevant images.
It's the middle icon as per below
