Please critique my fitness website

It means there is no way for people to share their advice.

All anyone can do is read the answers to your fixed questions and add comments. It’s not a fitness forum or source of advice in any shape or form.

If the site is popular with body builders then that’s ok. But it’s not going to help an overweight 40 something who can’t afford to go to the gym.

Careful.... I'm an overweight (not by much luckily) 40 year old now so I've got to defend my fellow overweight 40 plus people :p

Good points! I agree 100%, but the target is people who are already into fitness. For example, both my wife and I are quite fit and do a lot of training => we love to read fitness magazines, blogs, etc. and share stories, advice with each other. For people like us, Bulk Hackers is/will be great motivational stuff (or at least that's the plan).

So it's really just a hobby site where people already doing what you do can tell their stories. It's not a fitness site nor is it an advice site. If it motivates you than that's great. But I doubt it's going to help anyone else, probably not even those already into fitness. It's too niche and specialised.

Maybe you need to define your target visitor and their needs. 'People into fitness' is far too wide a group. I keep fit without lifting weights, going to the gym or following a special diet either. My mate keeps fit by being a builder.

This is super nice! It really helps me understand that I need to define my target group more. Thanks!

Are you talking about the front page?

I clicked the link and everything loaded up for me.

Yes, most of the images on the homepage don't load for me. Just checked again, seems to be a Firefox issue. Chrome loads them without a problem.

I'm using firefox on windows and it's loaded fine for me... even with ublock, privacy blocker and the built in firefox blockers all active....

However if I change privacy blocker from block cookies (which is what it was 'defaulting' to) to blocking the domain of scontent-lhr3-1.cdninstagram.com I lose the images on at least their individual pages.
In all honesty not sure why you're relying on instagram's cdn for the images, I'd have just had them directly on the site.

I agree with everyone else here. It just looks like a collection of boxes with random headlines in them. There is very little to say what the site is about or even what types of advice is given.
Could you possibly break the articles into clearly defined categories to help people find what they're looking for. These could then filter results or lead visitors to other sections within the site.
I'd prefer to see a nicely designed page with a few images representing each section and leading people to access the info they're looking for on the homepage. I'm a very visual person, so seeing imagery reflecting what the topics are about would help me immediately know whether the site has anything I'm looking for or not. Trawling through random articles in the hope that one might be interesting seems like a waste of time.
