Pasting into and copying out of an object

Junior Member
I have just figured out how to paste an object into another one using InDesign - i.e. an image into an outline shape - if I now need to edit the original image - how the heck do I cut it out of the shape? Any tips/help/advice -
Not sure exactly what you mean but try:
double clicking the object
using the white pointer instead of the black
If you are tying ot edit the actual picture, that wont happen in inDesign. If its a link, just edit the linked image, it'll update. Or replace it with an edited image.
