Cornish consultancy Creative Direction has created the identity, packaging and website for a new crisp brand, Lusty Pirate, which will appear in Tesco next year.

Chef and hotelier Sharon Parker approached Creative Direction in July, based on the strength of the consultancy’s branding work for Roddas clotted cream, according to creative director David Major.

The name Lusty Pirate was chosen by Creative Direction from a shortlist of proposals made by Parker.

What does everyone think? Would you be interested in trying some lusty pirate crisps if you spotted them in your local Tesco next year? Looks like the flavours will be interesting - Cornish Pasty flavour!? :D

ooo, another trendy crisp brand with funky 'hand-made' artwork on the packaging.

They look remarkably similar to the Salty Dog crisp packing:

Love the branding and packaging but Cornish Pasty flavour? Can't stand Cornish Pasties, just the smell of them makes me ill! But yeah I'd try one of the other flavours. Nothing beats Kettle chips with Black Pepper though :)
