Hello,

I'm Alex from Belgium. I start in graphics design, and have some difficult to do what I want, and translate my imagination to an illustration ....

Woow,

Thanks all for your welcome messages ! :clap:

In fact, I've start a web project to expose my achievement, a portfolio summary ...

To do this, I want to represent me in a cartoon / anime style.

Example:



I have some basic competence on Illustrator and CorelDRAW. Unfortunately after several hours of work, I can not get the professional results I want.

After following this tutorial, here's the result I got:



Rather disappointingly, it looks more like a child's drawing as a creative professional illustration ...

So I wondered if among you, someone could give me advice or help :eek:

welcome showtime, my advice would be to simply practice practice practice. and sketch on a daily basis as much as you can. carry a sketchbook everywhere and when you get a spare 2 minutes then sketch anything and everything!
