Music you like.

What kind of music does everyone like to listen to whilst creating sweet sweet love in a graphical form?

I like The Bird & The Bee, Tegan and Sara, Uh Huh Her, Brand New, Animal Collective.

I just signed up to this Band Promotional website too and I found some brand new bands like Fake Problems on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Videos which I find kind of funny but not amazing.

When creating graphics I like to listen to anything, but not too loud as I lose concentration and start dancing :D

All sorts, I really like hip-hop (90s East Coast, none of your 50 Cent type stuff), The Kinks, The Who, The Rolling Stones, The Verve, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Coldplay, The Roots, Roots Manuva, Massive Attack, Portishead, The Prodigy, The Clash, The Jam, The Killers, The Kings of Leon.

Anything with a 'The' in it seems.

I went to see one of your "non-'the" likes at UEA a couple of years back, that was a memorable night! :p

In terms of music that seems to help me working, I find euphoric dance like Chicane does the trick for me! Would think it would be too relacing to work to but I find it helps me focus

I'm addicted from the music, few years ago I was playing with music but now I have no time for this
but my favourite bands when I'm working are:
Nightwish, Within Tempatation (gothic rock)
Coma - (polish pessimistic rock)
Czesław Śpiewa - (danish-polish alternative)
Pidżama Porno - (just polish alternativ ;)
and maybe James Blunt and Amy McDonald

Well I'm jealous ;) Have never really been to any live events. I ought to start.

Haha, it was a good little gig that one, combined with a trip to see my friend who went to UEA, and yeah there's nothing like seeing your favourite band/artist live!!

Start big... go to a festival!! Been to Reading twice and love it both times, fantastic atmosphere :)

The only gig of note that I've been to was Arctic Monkeys at Manchester (LCCC) when they played a mini fest with Amy Winehouse, The Coral and Supergrass. Was an amazing day.

Cool sounds good! Arctic Monkeys were on the main stage at the first Reading Festival I went to, thought they were pretty good live! :)

They are very good live. And Amy Winehouse was great - sober too, managed to catch her before she went properly off the rails. Haha we also saw the Parrots that day, a Japanese Beatles tribute.

Oh they were! More fun than good. Not that they were bad but the novelty of it was great. Can't seem to find anything online about them though :(

Mostly listen to downtempo stuff and instrumental Hip Hop when designing. Stuff like Lemon Jelly, DJ Shadow, Nightmares on Wax, RJD2, DJ Food, Kid Koala, Cut Chemist and loads more that I can't remember right now :)

My music collection currently stands at 72.5 GB and growing, it contains just about every genre as I like pertty much everything.

My favourite songs are ones that evoke emotion, Songs that bring you up you just wanna bounce around the room!

I must admit, one of my favourite bands is winterkids, theyre not very known but their album is simply astonishing - every track is amazing and I cant stop listening to it!

Winterkids - memoirs (is the album) best track IMO is 2 nights 2 days.. so err... go buy it!

Really like most of the people listed there... went to see cut chemist live a few years back and was really good.

Other than stuff like that I listen to a lot of electronic-dance music (house, techno, psy-trance, drum n bass (mostly stuff like Hospital records...)) and jazz. I'm not generally fussy tho, I'll listen to anything I like even if people think it's uncool! :D
