Bit of a weird one...

I got offered $120 (per anum up front) by a marketing agency to add a link to one of their clients on one of my pages. Not unusual in theory but the page they wanted to add the link too was my news/blog page, which is barely read as it is, but the particuar article they wanted the link in was 2 years old! nobody is going to be looking at it! Which is why I didn't have any hangups about taking their money.

Anyone else had this?

you do realise you're now doing exactly what they expected you to do as quite a heavy blogger..... you've posted about it which will then raise awareness of said thread and as such increase it's web presence.... so from their perspective $120 is nothing for the increased exposure

lol, I see your point but I doubt any DF members will bother clicking through to an italian online casino. I don't think they'll recoup this one.

Agreed with greg, be careful who your linking out to, as from a search engine point of view your promoting the linked site! --- Casinos and Gambling only one step up from viagra if you ask me :) lol

A good point! I wonder if I write a blog about stiff competition for stand-up businesses I will get approached by a different type of client...
