Model Making Power Tools ?

Hello,

I'm making quite a few scale models for a Architecture course at University, mainly out of 3mm plywood. I've recently purchased a dremel tool to cut out windows doors etc, but it's not very good.

Which power tools would be a good investment to make model out of, kinda like Doll house making, with similar scale and detail.

Yes, but I wouldn't be able to get perfectly straight lines. I could use a mini router, but I wouldn't really be able to see the line I'm cutting, due to the plate being there.
