Magazine Distribution

Im self publishing a magazine and I was wondering if anyone new of a cheap way to distribute to 800 locations across Northern Ireland once a month. I have priced courier services and they are coming out very pricey. Does anyone know of a better option?

I have a friend who runs something similar. They place ads in the local press for magazine distributors, preferably those with their own cars. They pay them per batch of magazines and of course make a contribution towards fuel. You will find people in NI willing to do this for sure...
