Line across the page

Just wondering if someone can help me please. I want a line to go across my web page but im unsure how to do this.

please can someone help me? I want it so it breaks the page up a little.

Use the <hr /> to insert a horizontal rule

hr can also be changed like most things with css, borders on bottom / top of divs is another way of accomplishing this in certain situations
