Ink refill kits for HP cartridges - worth it?

Discussion in 'Chill Out Forum:' started by leepaulvickersdesign, Oct 27, 2010.

  1. I've seen the refill kits for HP cartridges for about half the price of new compatible cartridges.

Are these fiddly to refill and worth the money or is it better to replace the whole thing? In the past I've used Epson printers and just got the replacement cartridges...

Arite man. Personal experience for me has been same as using 3rd party carts. They end up bleeding and making a right old mess proving tough to clean up. If it was me I'd avoid. I nearly ruined an Epson a3 inkjet with one of those kits.

Colour accuracy can suffer too if they're not official HP kits, I'm assuming they're 3rd party?
  4. It's just for my office desktop - not doing any proofing on it!
