I am currently working on a new project. I am designing a bike ramp to help users get up and over stairs. Part of this ramp has a flexible Matt, which the bike wheel rides over.

At first I thought the Matt could be made from EVA. However because the ramp is outside, its needs to be able to withstand general wear and tear, but also damage from vandal’s

I have been looking into maybe reinforcing the matt with a wire mesh.
Have you got any Ideas of a suitable flexible material which could withstand considerable damage?

    Any ideas are welcome,

without knowing what the design is like it's a bit hard to suggest options but personally I'd be looking towards thermoplastics (there are lots of options in this and you would be best speaking to a specialist) or some sort of linked metal design
