Well I have just mentioned this in another thread but it was so impressive I think it justifies a thread of its own! Here is an image - Rumbold Holland - Litho & Digital Printers Swindon: River Ayr - of the river Ayr in Scotland. I was in Prestwick for the festive season and caught wind of this unusual sighting just down the road. It seems that the river had frozen over just before Christmas, and then on Christmas eve it rained heavily filling the river and cracking the ice. Big planes of ice were moved and collected at a certain bridge creating something I've never seen before, almost like a scene from the 'Day After Tomorrow'!
