Help finding best laptop for $1000

I am a Graphic Designer who dabbles in photography, animation, and video editing. I am trying to find a new "daily user" laptop that will fit my needs. My current laptop just does not run fast enough nor smooth enough for me to complete some of my projects. I have done a lot of research but cannot seem to find the best fit. I have recently been told that I could sacrifice the 16gb of RAM for 8 gb and go for a bigger processor like 2.2ghz or more. I just don't think I know enough about computers to make a decision myself. Any suggestions?

Country of origin?
Guessing USA due to $ but there are other places that use it too.

Minor issue is that this forum is UK based and as such we work on £ currency and often as not have access to different laptops to the US etc.

Something I do regularly on a gaming forum - might be able to help.

Depends on what you're doing for design work.

I wouldn't sacrafice back to 8gb of ram if I was using Photoshop for large images etc.
Likewise, if you're doing video editing the 32gb RAM would be better - or even for very large photoshop projects.

Let us know what you're doing and see if I can come up with a build for you.
