Most of the graffiti in Manchester's Northern Quarter is commissioned because the NQ is the creative/hipster hub of the city. We have projects such as Outhouse, where murals are repainted every few months by new artists. We also had the brilliant and infamous Walter White portrait that was inevitably vandalised.

It's nice to see new artwork every so often, though I actually prefer the stuff that's a bit edgy and on the wrong side of the law. I also love stuff that's raw, crude, subversive, and utterly brilliant – http://www.pinterest.com/bookdesignblog/grim-graf/
