First time designing a banner

Hi everyone.
I’ve been asked to design a 6m x 1m banner and I’m unsure how to set up a template in Adobe. The content is simple - just blue text on a white background. Can anyone help?

What Adobe Programme? Don't use Photoshop - use Illustrator or Indesign.

You could set your template to be 600mm by 100mm.

Then ask your printers to scale to a factor of 10.

It's normal practice.

Thanks hankscorpio, I’ll use Indesign and do just that.

I've done large format jobs that simply don't fit on to Illustrator's work area so I've done as Hank suggested.

If you're not using any raster images then there shouldn't be an issue.
