    Looking for some new music inspiration... especially a bit of chillout for my travels in October.

    Post your favourites
    Here's one of my fave...

    Chinese Man - Ordinary Man

    Ooh, difficult one.

    It's a toss-up between these two:

    Hybrid - Finished Symphony
    [ame=""]YouTube - Hybrid - Finished Symphony[/ame]

    Hybrid - Dreaming your Dreams
    [ame=""]YouTube - Hybrid - Dreaming Your Dreams[/ame]

    Both from the album Wide Angle (or Wider Angle, depending which version you want :p)

    I have both Wide Angle and Wider Angle on vinyl! The repackaged wider angle came out on 4 12" s it was/is amazing!

    Personally, anything by Lemon Jelly, DJ Shadow, UNKLE....get your acoustic on with some Damien Rice, William Elliot Whitmore....

    One of my favourite albums ever, I've played it to death :)

    Can't disagree with your list either, DJ Shadow particularly

    Lemon Jelly is a great choice but there's chilling out and then there's chilling out...

    well doesn't this really depend on the type of thing you like to chill to....

    anyways first thing I thought of after your initial video was 6 underground by sneaker pimps :)
    [ame=""]YouTube - Sneaker Pimps 6 Underground[/ame]

    then it was a case of massive attack with teardrop and unfinished symphony - both classics
    [ame=""]YouTube - Massive Attack - Teardrop[/ame]
    [ame=""]YouTube - Massive Attack - Unfinished Sympathy[/ame]

    then I thought about things which are full on chill out ambient type stuff and you have groups like the below (added one song for idea of style of music)
    amethystium - autumn interlude
    [ame=""]YouTube - Amethystium - Autumn Interlude[/ame]

    balligomingo - falling
    [ame=""]YouTube - Balligomingo - Falling - Vocals by Beverley Staunton[/ame]

    chicane - no ordinary morning
    [ame=""]YouTube - Chicane - No Ordinary Morning (Original Mix)[/ame]

    delerium - silence (not the remixed version - they were originally darkwave). They also do remixed albums what are more mainstream
    [ame=""]YouTube - Delerium "Silence (album version edit)"[/ame]

    enigma - return to innocence. Also got some remix albums
    [ame=""]YouTube - Enigma - Return To Innocence[/ame]

    achillea -

    rozen maiden ost - bara no jubai and bara no chikai
    [ame=""]YouTube - Rozen Maiden OST - Bara no Jubai[/ame]
    [ame=""]YouTube - Rozen Maiden OST - Bara no Chikai[/ame]

    denki groove - niji
    [ame=""]YouTube - Niji - Denki Groove[/ame]

    angelzoom - fairyland
    [ame=""]YouTube - Angelzoom-Fairyland[/ame]

    apocalyptica - nothing else matters (metallica cover). They have been in eurovision song contest as the entertainment between acts/count
    [ame=""]YouTube - Nothing Else Matters - Apocalyptica[/ame]

    chronicles of tsubasa ost - a song of storm and fire
    [ame=""]YouTube - tsubasa chronicle -A song of storm and fire[/ame]

    ghost in the shell ost - torukia and inner universe
    [ame=""]YouTube - Ghost in the Shell OST - Torukia[/ame]
    [ame=""]YouTube - Inner Universe (full song)[/ame]

    dot Hack//sign ost - key of twilight
    [ame=""]YouTube - Dot Hack//Key of Twilight[/ame]

    and as a one off song (the rest probably aren't chill out) - nightwish with while your lips are still red, the male singer very rarely sings (it's usually a female)
    [ame=""]YouTube - Nightwish - While Your Lips Are Still Red [HD 720p][/ame]

    edit: ok maybe some of them aren't quite so chilled as ambient but that's what I'd listen to when I'm kind of chilling and having said that I'd chill out to something like this depending on my mood lol

    Cool thread, thanks for posting that first Hybrid track Becky, love that track, but never knew the name. Foals, Spanish Sahara is another good shout Hippy!

    Will - I can't listen to RHCP ever since seeing them at Reading in 07, massive disappointment (sound problems apparently, but just a lot of moaning!) :(

    Some good suggestions there Levi, a lot of which I've never heard/heard of :)

    I'm a big fan of Chicane, so without repeating No Ordinary Morning again...

    [ame=""]YouTube - Chicane "Middle Distance Runner" Featuring Adam Young featured on the album "Giants" OUT NOW[/ame]

    [ame=""]YouTube - Chicane - Offshore (Ambient Mix)[/ame]

    [ame=""]YouTube - Chicane - Barefoot[/ame]

    Can see a 'Creative Chill' Spotfiy Playlist coming together!
