Durex Naked Box competition - Design a condom box and win fantastic prizes

In their recent Global Sex Survey, Durex discovered that only half of people worldwide used condoms when they lost their virginity, risking exposure to STIs and AIDs. According to Durex, part of the problem is that talking about condoms and safer sex is still really embarrassing for young people.

In response to this, Durex has launched the Naked Box Global Design Contest to help jumpstart conversations around the world that make young people more familiar and comfortable with condoms. In addition, they hope to find a design that may actually be fun to buy, and make condoms and safer sex more accessible to young people.

Entrants can either upload designs they have created on their own software or use the sexy “Naked Tools” to create their masterpieces via Durex’s Facebook site at Durex UK | Facebook

The competition will close on 17[SUP]th[/SUP] April and an overall winner will be selected by a panel of celebrity judges including - MTV executive director Georgia Arnold, urban graffiti artist Smash137, professional German snowboarding beauty Silvia Muller and Chinese graphic designer Liu Zhizhi. They will be joined by Sue Daun, Worldwide Head of Brand Experience at the Brand Union, Durex’s Design agency.

Twelve Finalists will be chosen by participants from the UK and all over the world, and from there the panel of celebrity judges will pick the Grand Prize Winner.

All Finalists receive an Apple iPad and a Durex Goody bag. In addition to these finalist prizes, the Grand Prize Winner will work with the Durex artwork agency to finalise the winning design for production, see their design go global, and also take home £2,000 in cash.
