Is there tips anyone can tell me about making a point of sale display, suchas materials, sizes, types of images and pictures used in the design and the main types of tools required for constructing and designing these products! :)PLEASE!!!!

It really does depend on the context for a point of sale display, the location, the brand etc all have an impact on the design, without more information it would just be endless.

You could use Comic Sans Neue if you're really set on that font though....

Douglas, the 'artist' (debatable) and the product going on it isn't really enough information, you have to consider the other aspects more than what is going on it.

Is it for a counter top display or a wall or window one?

These type of things tend to be made from thick, die cut cardboard and often as a self assembly, slot together construction.

I guess the imagery would fit in with the CD's marketing such as the artist, CD cover imagery and such.

counter top... that corrugated plastic (like cardboard box material just plastic), thick cardboard or plastic sheets (usually acrylic/polycarb)
