ignore the random spammer - google has its downfalls.

is it design only? if so I could do it.

I more than likely can as well, what exactly is he/she after, as if it needs structural alterations (non partition) you may need a full on architect plus building regs/planning type bits?

It should be fairly simple even if it needs partition walls, the one in my loft conversion wasn't that bad and I had to take into account an access point into the loft recess, some poorly placed roof supports and also some piping for the en-suite shower.

As to 'walkinwardrobe' - 2 hours and they find a thread specifically on THEIR topic and with a name that just happens to match up with the site name - says spam to me :)

why would someone need to ask someone else to design a walk in wardrobe...?

    it's hardly a taxing task.

That's why I'm thinking it could be more structural rather than just layout but we're just waiting on further information

Its for a friend not for myself and she just wondered if I knew anyone who could do it for her. I know for a fine fact I couldnt design it as I cant draw for one. She wants space for the normal stuff really, shoes and bags etc etc. I can ask for photo's and get them on here if you like? How much would it cost to get the design done by one of you guys?

    Thanks again

depends if there is stud work up already. i personally would just google walk in wardrobe and take inspiration from that with regards to materials.

it really depends on what she wants in terms of hanging space/shoe/drawer etc to what is possible.

does she want cupboard doors or all on show?

I think she will want cupboard doors, if I got the information would someone do the design free of charge? I dont think she has a lot of money and she just wanted someone to take a look. I would give someone something if you did they job? So do you think 1st steps is get all information from her?

i think so yeh, im sure a carpenter would be able to do it for her as part of the build fee as it's difficult to design it without seeing the space, and knowing what the adjoining room is like etc as that's a fairly important part in terms of continuity

if you want the design done for free try contacting some of the specialist walk in wardrobe people.
It takes a fair bit of time, it's not a 1 day job, to design a walk in wardrobe so it wouldn't have been cheap to do.

Walking into the wardrobe is one thing Glen. Maybe you should be thinking about coming out of the closet?
