Creative Digital Media Degree - & Marketing?

Hi

In september I'm starting a Creative Digital Media course which basically covers everything from graphic design, sound design, videography and photography. I was wondering if future employers would rather I had a full degree in that or maybe if I did a joints degree with a marketing/business degree?

I do enjoy business aswell, so I wouldn't just be doing it to look better for employers.

Any opinions?? Thanks!

Couldn't speak for employers as such because everyone is different but the business stuff could well be useful if you decide to go freelance or start your own studio in the future. Worth thinking about.

My degree is in Applied Digital Media Design which sounds very similar to the course you're about to undertake. The first 2 years were a very open, videography, web design, design for print, flash animation etc... then we were asked to specialise in the final year.

I think you'd find the workload of 2 degrees at once (which is essentially what you'd be doing) just too much to cope with. However I do agree with Corrosive that it could be very very useful and if its something you enjoy then all the better. Have you considered a night class to run along side a degree? Same information but a lesser workload.
