Copyright issue?

The agency have also asked my client to ask me to take the work off my website and IG. I am going to in respect of my client.

Do you think it would be a good idea for me to create a IG post that saids 'Copyright' in the same style and the colour they think they own?

Well, they're obviously checking your site and IG so why not give them something to see?

Only they'd be able to work out the real meaning of it.
Also, it would create more work in your signature style. ;)

That being said, I would take the opportunity to explain to your client that the agency seem to have some sort of beef with you for some reason and you're only doing so out of respect for the client.
Otherwise it kind of makes you appear guilty in some way which you're not.

Me taking it down would make me look guilty?

I would be taking it down so my client has nothing to do with it anymore.

Only in the way that taking it down would feel to me like I'd accepted they were right, if you get my drift?
I'm quite stubborn like that though.

At the end of the day it's better to have a good relationship with your client although I'd make it known they were wrong to accuse you of copyright infringement.
