Compressing a .PDF file

Hi,

I've designed a .pdf portfolio using InDesign, I'm happy with the way it looks - but the file size is huge!

Is there a way to compress my .pdf file into a smaller size without loosing quality? :)

When you exported to PDF did you check the output settings? Main thing would be to downsize images on export, is it for display/web or print use?

Other than that you could try zipping the file itself to get the size down a bit?

As Greg said play with the compression settings when you export, depending on the content you can often get away with setting compression to jpeg, Image Quality to Medium or high. If your outputting for screen you can also reduce the pixels per inch.
