Compound Path equivalent

Hi there, I'm not using InDesign (and not interested in signing up for even a free trial as I only want to do one thing with an image - also reluctant to sign up for the free trial as if I don't cancel in time or there is a problem they will bill me and I can't afford it right now).

Therefore, my query is, is there an equivalent to this in any other program or app that I can use for free to achieve the same result, i.e. one image over multiple frames? See link below to YouTube re. using Compound Plan in InDesign.
(I've also attached an image of what I mean.)

Resolution to this would be great - tearing my hair out!

TIA
PF

Hi Fisicx, I didn't see any answers that solved the issue - can you maybe copy them over. I'm having some trouble accessing the internet today. Thanks

Yes you did. You even replied to the answers:

I didn't acknowledge them as answers - I'm still unable to find a solution to the problem. Perhaps you can further clarify what you mean by 'answer'.

You already have a thread on this... please don't clutter the forum with multiple threads asking the same thing.
