Client wants to use parts of my branding...?

I recently sent a client an invoice and he has emailed me back asking if he can "use the invoice format" I'm not entirely sure how much exactly of my 'format' he wants to use but..

It's part of my branding and it would feel a bit odd letting someone else use it, I don't see why I should be giving away my marketing materials, even for a price.

I mean, really the only option is for me to offer to design him one for a charge, just wondering if anyone else has had similar requests?

ask him what he wants to use... invoices are supposed to contain certain info anyways (by law) so it could be they just like the layout of your page...

Indeed.

I have told him that if he wants to create his own invoice and position text in the same places then I will give him permission to do so, otherwise, "we can have a look at developing a unique design template that will work with (his) brand".

I don't plan on working for free so hopefully he gets the hint...!
