Chic Street Logo

Hi everyone,

I've not been very active as I've been busy on several new projects. This is one of them. Any thoughts on the logo?

It's for a company selling "shabby chic/vintage furniture".

it's definitely got that vintage vibe going although I'm not keen on the blue, for some reason I'm thinking a dusky/dirty pink might look nicer....
I'd maybe watch the 'splatter paint' blending into the text too much
Biggest issue, it seems more a clothes 'brand' than a clothes and furniture store to me

Spoken to you about this already Tony, but just to summarise:
1. Proportions are off, too many background elements to logo text ratio.
2. Those icons, whilst good, complicate the logo and make it look confused.
3. That nail head looks like a close button.
4. Typeface is great, certainly appropriate, but could use some tidying up.

Cheers for the feedback guys.
Working on a second concept currently.

What about trying the nail head throught the centre of the bow? or a sort of old wooden plaque effect.
I'm unsure about the underline below chic street.

I think the textured version works best - maybe roughing up the edges of the shapes more, looks a bit too clean. You could try giving the logo some rotation too?

I like the original style of the round logo and the distressed/grungy feel.
Just me but I feel the text looks a bit small.
Maybe by setting it on two lines and rotating it a little to the left it would give it a bit more impact.
A couple of scripts that I'm into recently are Mission Script and Honey Script which are both free.
