Catalogue design

Happy Monday everyone.

I have been asked to design our latest catalogue but this year my boss would like to set up a rate card for our suppliers for them to purchase advertising and product spacing for the next catalogue.

This is something I have not heard of doing before, is this something that catalogue companies do to pay for print etc?

any help on this subject I would be very grateful.

Used quite a lot in my time, for magazines usually, did one for a 364 mamouth catalouge a few years back.

A good rate card is basically a price guide for potential advertisers for advertising space in said publication - usually with specs (sizes, bleeds, safes etc) and prices with diagrams of ads.
