    Hey all,

I would be interested to know what the most common font size is used on business cards I use 8pt, mostly. I'm curious to see if there is a standard for most.

    Thanks

    :D

  2. Bit small, I'd say 9/10pt

I think using 12pt is better.

  5. Depends on the font as well, not all fonts are created equally... especially some of those free ones.

Most designers will use between 9pt and 12pt - it can be tempting to go bigger but there's no need usually.

Thanks everyone. That's really helpful :)

I've been look at some BC designs online and some of the text seems really small.

    Thanks for your input.

Depends on font of course and all a matter of personal preference but I'd say you're bang on with 8pt for text details - anything much bigger can look clumsy.

Yes - I wouldn't go much smaller than 8pt, but I've seen templates for BC's with fonts as small as 6pt. Barely legible once printed I'm sure.
