Anyone know this font?

Hi,
My website is old and horrible. I am working on a new logo. I love this one. Industrial but human or something. Just feels good.
I am a prototype model maker and do a lot of mechanisms.
Do you think this is a completely custom font or based on something existing?

Appreciate your expertise or advise.

I tried that and it didn’t work. So I just removed the outline and I got some hits.
Didn’t know to do that.
