Advice on 8 page print layout

Hello,

I've created an 8 sided brochure, but am not sure about how to position everything for the printers.

I'm thinking 2 sheets of A3, printed on both sides, folded in the centre and stapled together so the result is an 8 page A4.

Would the following print spread be correct? http://imgur.com/a/wS3jm

InDesign can do imposition for you – https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/printing-booklets.html

I often make a dummy version when I'm working on a print booklet to test the page order. I basically make a smaller version in A5 with all the pages I need and write on each page the number (so, front > front inside > page 1> page 2 etc…). When I'm done, I can separate the sheets, open them out and check where the page positions are.

Or you can just give the packaged design files to your printer and they'll sort it for you.

Most printers would want this as separate pdf pages 1 - 8 and they will then impose it on their system. Would be best to check with them as it will save you time doing it.

Absolutely agree with four. Supply as single pages.

If you want to print a proof for yourself use Acrobat print booklet feature.
