    Hi

I have been saving up to buy a decent camera. I want to spend approx £400.

I have no particular subject matter... so i need a good alrounder.

Ive never bought a camera, so any advice would be extremely helpful.

    Thanks

    Chris

I'd personally go for a Canon What will it be used for? What type of photography?

just bought the son a Nikon d500 after advice from DF guys.
He loves it, £525 at most places with a £50 Nikon cashback offer.
The Nikon d3000 has the same £50 Nikon cashback offer and is the same camera without a swivel screen and is £100 cheaper still..
    Well worth considering

hi thanks for the replies. Subject matter will be very varied. Ive just started freelancing as a graphic designer, and I want an all round camera that I can use for projects. So i will be doing some portrait work, landscape work, some really close up work (sorry im not very technical!)

I will take a look at the Nikon now, thanks
