What would you say are the most used abbreviations (lol, lmfao etc) on this forum?

lol - laughing out loud (and all variations of it: lmao, rofl, roflmao... and the more vulgar pmsl)
iirc - if I recall correctly
    imo - in my opinion
imho - in my honest/humble opinion
    wip - work in progress
(n)sfw - (not) safe for work
asap - as soon as possible

Also think of generic ones such as omg and wtf which aren't really specific to this forum/sector itself. But neither is lol or ASAP for that matter.

Might think of some other ones later on.
Oh and DF of course. How could I forget that one? :p

I try and avoid abbreviations if I can, even in text messages.

I don't either, text's weren't really that big when I had my first mobile, then when they started getting more popular I had a smartphone with a qwerty keyboard so I just typed like I would on a pc sort of thing. Still do now :D

I did not know half of these!

I'm with you Levi, unlimited text messages helps! You are less concerned with fitting as much into a message as possible!

To be honest, I'm with you guys on not using abbreviations, I just pick them up from trying to dis-cypher txt's, emails, forum messages and so on. But what really grinds on me, is when people use alternatives like "yew" for "you". I don't get why people just can not type "you". IT'S THE SAME AMOUNT OF LETTERS!

Some people say u(r) instead of you(r) too. And others say 4 instead of for.
