123-Reg email forwarding...

As mentioned previously, I have just purchased a URL from 123-Reg for a portfolio site I am building, and I've set up the email forwarding for [email protected] to forward to my Gmail address. I've just tested it and nothing has happened as of yet, is it instant or does it usually take some time (i.e. 24 hours or so) to get setup?
 
There will be a delay, it usually takes a couple of hours for the domain registration to go through fully with 123-Reg and Nominet, then a little while for the email forwarding to go through with 123-Reg. Give it 24 hours and see if it's working then.
