Which paid for directories are best?

Just wondering which are the best paid for directories? I have recently submitted one of my sites to: www.splashdirectory.com on a recommendation, didn't cost much so not to worried.

Does anybody have any advice on the best paid for directories to submit my sites to, if there are decent FREE ones out there too then which are the best??

I know DMOZ is good if you can get listed: ODP - Open Directory Project

There seems to be a rather big change with what is and isn't a good paid directory every time we get a PR update (which isn't to say you should base everything on PointlessRank).

dirjournal.com seems like a rather good one (and has been for the last few updates)- although it is a tad expensive!
