Print / packaging related question. Relatively small numbers involved,
5000-10000

How much does the cost of pantone metalics compare to that of using standard pantone solids. Is it a dramatic leap in general cost? or is it comparable in the face of hot-foiling. UK

Metallic inks will be cheaper than hold/cold-stamping/foiling as there's only another printing plate involved rather than a specific tool for the foiled area. You also have the fact that many printers put this out to a 3rd party finisher and this adds to the overall cost.
